12 Days of Christmas Tour

Wow!  I feel like it’s been FOREVER since I posted last!

I miss you all!!

I don’t know about you, but it seems like it was just summer and now it’s Christmas!  Time is just flying by, and I haven’t even started shopping yet!

Not good…I know.

What about you?  Have you started shopping yet?  What about your decorations?  Are they up yet?

I have my Christmas decorations up!  They were up the day after Thanksgiving!

Christmas Tour

Our Christmas tree sits in the corner of our living room.  I debated about putting it in the front room so that it would be seen from the front, but in the end, I decided that I wanted to see the tree, more than I cared for other people to see it!

Christmas Tour

Since the colors in our living room are gold, brown and red, I decided to use the same colors for the ornaments on our tree.

Christmas Tour

Some of my favorite parts of our tree are the Santa’s that are tucked here and there.

I also LOVE my strands of pearls that were given to me by a dear friend!

Christmas Tour

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my burlap tree skirt I picked up last year!

Christmas Tour

The kids will tell you that their favorite decoration in the house is this Santa Advent calendar.  They take turns moving the star each day, along with opening their advent calendar that reveals a small piece of chocolate each day…. makes for a great early morning healthy treat before breakfast.

Christmas Tour

I love setting out the pictures of the boys with Santa.  Sadly, they now think they are too big to get their picture taken with Santa, so my last picture is from three years ago.  Sad.. just sad.

Christmas Tour

My mantel is still a work in progress.

Each year I buy real evergreens to use in my decorations… just to have that Christmas smell throughout the house.

Also, I’m adding a blinking red nose to my deer painting!  How fun is that?

Christmas Tour

Finally, our nativity set sits on top of our coffee table as a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.

Later this week, I hope to share with you a Christmas Rag Wreath I’ve been working on for my chippy door.

Until then, be sure to stop by the others on the 12 Days of Christmas Tour…

  6. Hi Claire. Everything looks just wonderful- Christmas-y and homey and warm. Love it. It is kind of sad to see kids grow past the “picture with Santa” phase, isn’t it? We still have a few years of that with grandkids- xo Diana
