My friends and family will be the first to tell you that I try really hard to eat healthy.
My kids will tell you that I spend a lot of time at the grocery store reading labels.
If I can’t read something in the ingredient list, then I don’t buy it. It’s that simple.
Now that I’m working again, I am on the lookout for a frozen meal that I can take to work that isn’t full of preservatives and mystery ingredients.
This past weekend I headed to Target to look for some snacks and ideas for lunches I could take to work.
I searched through the frozen meal section and stopped when I noticed Lean Cuisine’s Honestly Good meals. I had never seen these before.
The pictures on the box looked amazing!
The price was right.
BUT, were the ingredients real?
Amazingly, I was able to read each and every ingredient, and there were NO preservatives!
I chose four different ones out of the six different choices… Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken, Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.
I couldn’t wait to get home and try one!
I chose the Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish to try out first. Although I bought them for work, I just had to try one… today!!
I could smell the ginger sauce as it was cooking in the microwave. I couldn’t wait!!
Amazingly, the fish was crispy and not soggy like some meals I’ve had in the past.
I like that the sauce comes in its own package so you can add it or leave it off if you want. I decided to add it, and I’m glad I did. It was delicious!!
The vegetables were crunchy and the rice was amazing!
It truly was a wonderful meal!!
On top of having 100% all natural ingredients, no artificial flavors, and no preservatives, Lean Cuisine is also donating a portion of the vegetables grown for Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals to local communities. So, not only can you feel good about what you are eating, but you can also feel good about giving back!
I’m ready to try the next one! Do you think two for dinner is too much?
Have you tried one of Lean Cuisine’s Honestly Good meals yet? If so, what do you think?
