Fall Home Tour

It’s here!  I’m so excited!!  Guess what?  We have a fabulous giveaway planned for everyone so be sure to scroll to the bottom to see how to enter…it’s HUGE!!

Welcome to my Fall Home Tour!

I hope you enjoy what you see and leave inspired and full of ideas on how you can decorate your home for Fall.

When you leave my tour, be sure to head on over to one of the other four bloggers sharing their home today.  The links to their home tours will be listed at the bottom of this post.

Fall Home Tour

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve never been one to decorate for Fall.  I guess it’s because I’ve been a teacher for the past 13 years, and this time of year is just incredibly stressful for teachers as they are adjusting to new schedules and new students.  (If you drop them off a special drink from Starbucks or Sonic, it makes their day.  Just sayin’.  Please go make your teacher’s day today!  They need it and will be beyond thankful!

So, if you’ve been following along the past two weeks, you know that I have been sharing bits and pieces of my Fall decorating as I’ve been preparing for today. If you happened to have missed any of those posts, I’ll be sure to link them up when available.

I hope you enjoy the tour!

Fall Home Tour

I was super excited about decorating our front porch and making wreaths for our double doors.

I went with a gold and tan burlap for my wreaths, and tied in an orange bow on the side of each one.

Fall Home Tour

I tied all the colors in with this beautiful Fall sprig that rests on the side of each wreath.

Fall Home Tour

I searched online for “Fall Signs” and this saying came up.  I just loved it and had to copy it!!  I free-handed this one onto my chalkboard painted antique ironing board.  It makes for the perfect Fall welcome sign don’t you think?

My children are pretty excited that we already have pumpkins to carve for Halloween!  (I’ll have to share a funny story about this one sometime this week!)

Fall Home Tour

This buffet is one of my favorite pieces!  It is the first piece the hubby and I painted together.  I love everything about it… the details, the lines, the little keyholes…love!

Fall Home Tour

I decided to create a Fall welcome garland to string across the front of the buffet since it is the first thing you see when you walk in the front door.

I made the mini wreaths out of the lids from Ball jars.

Ball Jar Lid Mini Wreaths

I used several Ball jars in my Fall decorating this year, and therefor I had several lids leftover.  They are just so much fun to decorate with!

Fall Home Tour

All of the jars got painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  I used some as candle holders as you can see here.  Others were used as flower vases as you’ll see later on.

Fall Home Tour

It is so fun when you come across an easy way to decorate!  For example, this little grapevine wreath that I tied onto our initial was super easy to make and turned out really cute above the buffet.

Now, what’s a home tour without a mantel all decked out for Fall?

Fall Home Tour

I call this a Hill Country Fall Mantel.  Besides the deer silhouette, one of my favorite parts about this mantel are the large sunflowers I laid on top of those gorgeous pale green pumpkins.

Fall Home Tour

Aren’t those beautiful?

Our formal dining room is a room that rarely sees people, but it is seen by everyone who walks in our front door.

Now, I am not really big on setting out dishes, place mats, glasses and silverware when I decorate a table.  I guess because I have boys who like to throw things from time to time (all the time).  So, an easy fix for me is to set out something that will take up the whole table and is easy to remove when guests come over.

Fall Home Tour

I purchased this floral arrangement years ago.  Not only is it made with beautiful Fall colors, but I love how it is made in an old sugar mold!

Fall Home Tour

In case you haven’t been around my blog for awhile, I absolutely LOVE buffets!

Fall Home Tour

This buffet is in our living room.  It is the only buffet I haven’t painted, and it will stay that way.  I love the carvings and details and I just couldn’t put a paint brush to it.  Here it is all dressed up for Fall.

Fall Home Tour

After painting 25 antique windows a year ago, I ended up with several windows that were broken or cracked.  We decided to put this old window frame to use and use it as a way to display our canvas photo of our family.

Fall Home Tour

Nothing says Fall to me than burlap.  I bought this burlap table runner at a Women’s Conference at our previous church in Dallas a few years ago.

Fall Home Tour

Although I didn’t make it, how easy would this be to make?  I even have this stencil that I picked up from Hobby Lobby last year.

Fall Home Tour

I used three Ball jars to make up the Fall centerpiece on our kitchen table.  There’s nothing like fall colored hydrangeas resting in Ball jars!

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  I am so glad you stopped by and I hope you were able to get a few ideas to use in your own home!  If you are new here, I’d love for you to follow along on Facebook here.

Remember, be sure to stop by the other four homes on the tour below, and be sure to check out the others throughout the week.
