Creative At Home: Featuring 24 Bloggers

So a few weeks ago, we brought you the Showcase of Homes Tour with 26 Bloggers from around the country.

This week, I got together with some blogging friends to bring you Getting Creative at Home…

creative at home party

Basically, we all had one thing in common.

We were all left behind at home while our blogging friends were off having the time of their lives at Haven… a conference held each year just for bloggers.

So, we decided to get together and share with you 24 blogs you may have never seen before.  Each blog will share with you some of their most creative ideas that have been popular for them, and hopefully you will come away with some neat ideas you can use around your home.

So, if you are new here, welcome!  I’m so glad you stopped by to visit!  I’d love for you to comment below and let me know you are visiting today!

Well, I’ve been blogging for almost a year now.  In fact, my blogiversary is coming up in a few weeks!!  (Of course that only means I’ll have a giveaway coming up too!)  I have had quite a few projects that are not only my favorite, but seem to be a favorite for many.  I’ll share a few of those with you today…

Back Porch Headboard Swing

My Summer Back Porch Headboard Swing is a recent post.  I’m pretty sure it is one of my favorites!!  It is just the perfect place to sit, drink coffee, and spend some quiet time.  (When it’s not 100 degrees that is!)

I love taking things that others may have thrown away, like this old headboard, and using it in a new and different way.  This headboard swing is just one example of my love for upcycling.

My very first post that went absolutely crazy on Pinterest and on Facebook, was this post about an antique dresser drawer I turned into a fun place to store pillows.

A New Use for Old Drawers

This post was called Something Old, Something New because that’s exactly what I did… took something old and made it new again.

I did the same thing with an old ironing board…

Antique Ironing Board Welcome Sign

This Vintage Ironing Board Turned Welcome Sign is just one of the many pieces I’ve done that I wish I didn’t sell.  It looked so cute on my front porch!  It sold within a week of being at the store!

So, what can you expect to see at The Rustic Pig?

Well, not only will you see lots of ways to upcycle things from around your home, but I LOVE to paint antique furniture, so you will most likely see lots of furniture transformations!

One of my favorites, and one that I actually kept for myself, is this Antique French Desk

French Desk Transformation

I hope you’ll come along for the ride!  It’s been a fun one so far!!

Be sure to stop by and meet some other very creative bloggers from our Creative At Home series…
