Sweet Little Table and Chairs

About two years ago we met and fell in love with Molly.

Molly Girl

At the time she was being fostered by a sweet family we knew who fostered dogs through the Humane Society.

Can you believe someone would give this precious face away?

The problem with falling in love is, that once you’ve fallen, you don’t want to walk away.  You can’t imagine anyone loving or caring for that thing as much as you would.

That was the case with Molly.  We couldn’t walk away.

So we didn’t.

We adopted her.

Then we decided to foster dogs through the Humane Society as well.

But, again, when you fall in love, you end up with…

Gidget Girl

… a Gidget.

Yep, fostering dogs proved to be difficult for us.  We fell in love with several dogs, but in the end, we adopted out four and kept one.

My point in this is, I have the same problem with furniture.

I LOVE furniture.

I love how it can totally change a room.

I love how just changing the fabric of the chairs can alter an entire kitchen.

I love how one small piece of furniture makes me want to rearrange and clean my house.

Please say I’m not alone in this… anyone??

Anyone??

Well, it happened.

Again.

I bought this little table about two months ago.

The Rustic Pig: Table & Chairs

And then I found these four chairs a few weeks ago and knew they would be perfect for this table.

The Rustic Pig: Table & Chairs

I loved the harp back design of the chairs, but the poor cushions had seen better days.

After a good cleaning, I painted the table and chairs in Annie Sloan’s Coco.

The chairs went from this…

*gag*

… to this…

See what a HUGE difference fabric makes!

Once the chairs were waxed, we put them back together.

Then the sweet little table and chairs were complete.

And it started all over again…

The Rustic Pig: Table & Chairs

..I was in love…

…and I wanted to keep it.

I don’t need another table and chairs.  In fact, I have another table set in my garage waiting to be painted.  And an additional 4 chairs that need a table.

Soooo…

…since my kitchen is decorated in reds, golds and browns and I’m not quite ready to do an overhaul on the kitchen.

It’s for sale.

Whoever buys it better love it as much as I do.  They better take care of it like I would.

Or else…

Love,
