I’m in a Funk…

When you rent a space at a store, most likely you’ll have to work a few days.  Since I recently moved into a bigger space, I now have to work four days.

So, I had the brilliant idea of working two days back-to-back.

Sounded good to me.  Knock two days out in one week.  I can do that!

After all, I LOVE working at the store.

The Corner Cartel, the store where my space is, is located on Main Street in Boerne, TX.

Boerne is a small, hill country, touristy town just west of San Antonio that is filled with all kinds of quaint bistros, diners, antiques and shopping galore!

Since it is a tourist location, you just never know who might walk through those doors, or what they may be looking for.

The best part of all is seeing what they end up buying.

Or what treasure they found they just can live without.

The hardest part about working there, is NOT buying something every time I’m there!

Like this antique rocking horse.  I LOVE it!

It really wants to live on my fireplace mantel.

I just know so.

I also happen to be in love with this bag.

Of course, I want to buy letters of every size and color to stick all around my house!

And check out these globes!  They light up!

Who knew they even made such a thing?

So, after two days of being in the store, I now have no motivation to do anything.

All I know is that I’m in a funk and I want to eat chocolate.

Dark chocolate with Sea Salt.  Mmmmm….

I don’t know why.

It is quite possible that it’s because my garage looks like it threw up furniture EVERYWHERE!

I don’t even know where to start.  I just want to create an assembly line and get it all knocked out.

Who wants to come help?

Anyone?  Anyone??

  3. I totally know what you mean!!! This is one of those times where if we lived closer I would show up at your door {with the chocolate in hand} and say move over sista’ and make room for me! 🙂 Sometimes I think you need to have a lazy day/week/month… the best part about those, is you always go back to what you love once you’ve rested 🙂 And you know I were there we would either get so much accomplished.. or nothing at all 🙂 he he.. but I know how you feel, I have been there before, and go there sometimes too much 🙂 XO ~Bre

  5. Wish I was closer to SA and I’d come help. I love organizing and cleaning (I mean, straightening up…never cleaning). I live in Ft. Worth. So if I’m ever in SA I’ll have to swing by your space and check it out. I think being in a funk is your body/mind’s way of telling to slow down. Eat chocolate. I’ve been in a funk for a while. When I get home from work, I feel like vegging and doing nothing. You are not alone! 🙂

  6. The Corner Cartel looks like a really fun shop! I would end up wanting to spend my profits every month too! 🙂

  7. This has been me since December. I am just now getting my sea legs. I have been avoiding bloggyland just so I wouldn’t slip further into a depressed/overwhelmed state because my garage, too, is barfing furniture.

Your honesty encourages me! Keep going, friend!
