When I first posted Something Old, Something New, I was new to blogging and I hadn’t even started redoing furniture yet. I was just a newbie all around!
I couldn’t have imagined this little drawer would end up being such a hit!

I picked out some iron knobs for the white drawer and these sweet little white roses for the brown drawer.
… and stained them using Minwax’s Dark Walnut stain.

I would LOVE to win a gift card from Hobby Lobby,,,what a great way to start the year! Hugs, Penny
This little drawer is BEAUTIFUL! You are so talented, Claire. I just love it.

hi claire,
i think this drawer repurposing turned out so sweet! such a great idea. i have the same pillow (1929 french linen)in last photo on my sofa. i’m pinning this idea as soon as i finish commenting. and as for what i’d do with a $20 gc from hob lob….spend it on knobs or letters (my two favorite items).

Just love these drawers! And the pillows inside them!! Trying to figure out how many rooms in my house I stick drawers in now. Thank you for posting!
Anne
GREAT blog!!!! and I ADORE Hobby Lobby! Thanks for the give away and here’s to a lot more people seeing the cuteness you have here.
My cat has been sleeping in an old drawer. I’ll pull it out of the dresser and put these legs on it and make it look like a REAL snazzy cat bed.
Such a fantastic idea. I swear there are so many talented people out there. Really love it.
Ooops forgot the Hobby Lobby part. I was so impressed by the drawers. Well, since I’m at Hobby Lobby every Saturday, I’m sure I could find a use for a gift card!
I would store rolled up towels in an old drawer and put it in my guest bathroom!
I’d use it to buy drawer pulls and paint so that I could make one of these!
Really cute. I would love some help with my weekly Hobby Lobby order.
Who knew drawers could look so beautiful, Claire! Love the look in both paint colors. Pinning this! : )

Thanks Roeshel! Sorry there’s no link up… I took it off after that whole scare last week! I’ll be happy to add it back in now!
Hugs!!
Very nice & you gave me an idea for cat beds lol but I would use much smaller legs & stencil my cats names on them.
Thanks Tery! I’d love to see it as a cat bed! Let me know if you make it!
Such a beautiful project! thank you so very much for sharing your talent! I will be hunting down dressers at all the yard sales now!!
Ha ha!! It’s a super easy project, and very cheap… especially if you can find a dresser falling apart!
Have fun!!
Love, love, love the drawers!!!
Thanks Riki!! Glad you stopped by!!
Too great. These could hold all sorts of stuff, blankets, comforters, toys. I have had great luck with painting the entire drawer, inside and out, and hanging on the wall as a double shelf, screwing the bottom of the drawer into the wall. U can wallpaper, decoupage and trim the inside of drawer to make it really unique. I love adding legs onto the drawers, though. This would make a great side table too!
Those are super ideas!!! LOVE it!! Right now I have one by the entry way to catch all the kid’s shoes! Thanks for the ideas! Hugs!!
Love this idea. In the process of saving the drawers from an antique dresser that can no longer be used. Theses will definaltely be part of my plan to keep a part of the past in our new cabin. Thanks for the info.
Love your little drawer idea…especially if I can’t find an old crate large enough to and not to deep to put pillows into…who would have thought! I live in Central California and it seems to me from reading other blog post that people in the southern and mid-west states get better buys on things like crates and grain sack bags. I guess Californians just want to charge more…I find this is very true even in our thrift shops like Goodwill or Salvation Army. I’m 72 yrs old (soon to hit the 73rd) and I’m on a limited budget….wishing I could order stuff from states that don’t charge so much, but then again there would be the added cost of shipping and handling.
Do you have a tutorial on the pillows? I especially love the ones with the postal graphics. Where did you find the material for those pillows. In addition, I also like the heart pillows…how about those?
This is my first time posting to your website although I have been following you by email. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas. Oh, by the way, I clicked the button for the “home tour” and saw your beautiful ready made kitchen. Can’t believe that people passed that house up because of the custom colors. However, I can’t seem to find any other rooms of your home tour…can you help me out there…if you have posted photos of the rest of your home, I would love to see it. Warmly, Mary
I think you may have started this whole drawer trend. I love it so much it’s being featured on the All Star Block Party today.
