We had a whirlwind of a weekend!
Friday night was Cole’s first dance up at the middle school.
He looks 16.
I about cried when I dropped him off.
Saturday morning we drove over an hour to get to the Love Creed Orchards Pumpkin Patch in Medina, TX.
We met Uncle Phil there.
He’s not our uncle.
I’m not sure whose uncle he is. He told us his name was “Uncle Phil”.
He looks like an Uncle Phil. Or a grandpa. Or Old MacDonald.
He drove the tractor that pulled the trailer full of hay we sat on. You know, for those of us too lazy to walk across the street.
I told myself I was NOT lazy. It was all part of the experience for the kids. Right?
We met my sister, her husband, and my sweet, little nephew Burke there. You can read about Burke here.
When you’re not quite one yet, and on your first trip to the pumpkin patch, you must sit in a pile of pumpkins so your mommy and daddy…. your aunt too… can get a good picture.
Burke loved the pumpkins so much that he wouldn’t even look at us.
So, we moved him to the grass….next to the pumpkins.
He was fascinated by all of the textures. From the pumpkin stems, to the grass…. he was in sensory overload!
My boys think they are too old to sit on pumpkins.
So we take their picture while they ride the little kid choo-choo train.
Look! We were there too!!
I loved this old bridge that took you across to a little island with beautiful trees and wild flowers on the other side.
There he is again…
